I had a passion for art ever since I was little. I never wanted to do school work, and I didn't want to spend time putting letters together. It was kind of boring to me. Every time I asked my teacher if I could do art she would say no. I would draw at home. I used to watch art shows on TV. That's what made me want to do art.
I like to make sculptures. I use drywall shims, paper mache and paper mache clay, wood glue masking tape paper and poster board for my art practices. I make functional sculptures sometimes, and I think it's amazing that you can make art to do art.
I use layers of different colored pencils to make drawings. I get drawing ideas from video games and cartoons like King of the Hill, Pokemon and Sailor Moon and from Disney movies and other movies as well.
I get ideas from watching YouTube videos. Sometimes I see things that I want to buy online but they are too expensive, so I make them myself. As a kid I was fascinated by weeds and plants and I like to mimic what I see in nature. I'm interested in the connections between the things I make and my personal stories. I like when people find joy in looking at my work.
